Shane Ellison, Lead Instructor

Shane Ellison is a Rey Diogo black belt in jiu jitsu. He won an IBJJF gold medal as a purple belt, won the silver medal as a brown belt, and is a current black belt competitor. He attended Fort Lewis College on a wrestling scholarship and holds a master’s degree in organic chemistry. As a father of 4 and founder of “The People’s Chemist,” Shane’s philosophy for coaching is, “learn to celebrate the hard work over the victories. Once done, everything falls into place on and off the mat.”

 
Coach Adrian

Coach Adrian

Adrian Cordova is a 2x FILA Junior national champ and was previously on the Junior world team. He placed 2nd at Junior Pan American Games. He was also a 2x Colorado state champ. In addition to coaching wrestling, Adrian is a blue belt jiu jitsu competitor. His philosophy for coaching is, “wrestle competitively and aggressively in every position, every second of every match - in practice or competition.”

Coach Ali

Ali Naser is a two-time California state placer. Born in Afghanistan, he grew up learning wrestling in Tashkent Uzbekistan. Ali attended ASU on a wrestling scholarship, holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and is an NCAA Pac-12 Champion. In addition to coaching wrestling, he is a blue belt jiu jitsu competitor. His philosophy for coaching is, “be fearless in battle and let learning guide you toward your wins.”
