Francis Testimony

Hockey player from a young age, Francis discovered a new passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu nearly 7 years ago. Worker, father and hockey player make him a very busy man. However, he always finds at least 2 times a week to fight with his training partners.

Francis is a very humble guy who practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the strategy and technique. He could easily apply his great strength in combat at any time, but he prefers to work harder mentally and strategically to control or submit his opponent.

A great example at our Element Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Francis always helps new students or guests to feel comfortable asking their questions.

Rébecca Dubé

Following her 4 semi-private classes with our main instructor and one of our students, Rebecca was more than ready to join the Element Jiu-Jitsu team.

She has heart and does not hesitate to face our best students. She wants to learn fast and she leads by example, since she is present 3 times a week, every week.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is made for both women and men, and Rebecca shows it in all her battles. Her flexibility and passion will help her one day, to become one of the best.

Jason “Hulk” Hodgson

A father of three and a former canadian soldier, Jason started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu almost 3 years ago. He has been nicknamed Hulk since his strength is incomparable.

Jason always tells us how good he feels here in our Academy. His goal was not only to learn a martial art or ground combat, but rather to be surrounded by great people to have fun with, who are ready to help each other.

We love him cause he gives always more than he can receive, it is his own personality.

Jeffrey Maqsoudi

A 32 years old engineer and dad of two, Jeff has been passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 7 years. He has always loved martial arts and after only a few Jiu-Jitsu classes, this style of fighting has become a passion for him. Ground combat is now part of his weekly schedule.

Jeffrey is an extremely generous student, both to share his knowledge and to help his training partners at all times.

His influence at the Element BJJ Academy brings new students to feel good about themselves and to not hurting people during the roll sessions.

Frédérik Christopher Rhéaume

Frédérik is a plumber and a champion at heart who loves the competition and succeed in everything he undertakes.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu allows him to demonstrate his true value in martial arts. Some people have to learn and practice for several years to dominate intense fighters, but guys like him do it naturally.

His goal is to bring his training partners to another level, nothing less.

Antoine “Bald Boa” Bonicalzi

Antoine is a Internet Marketing expert and started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu more than a decade ago. He visited several schools and martial arts styles before returning to Element BJJ.

He is a proud, analytical fighter who likes to learn new techniques, but always wants to go back to basics and simplicity.

He is careful not to hurt his training partners because he understands that everyone has to work the next day and put food on the table. Antoine has a head on his shoulders and that's why it's a pleasure to train at his side.

Alois “Kimura” Kling

Alois is a special Police officer and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has always been the martial art of choice for self defense. Initiated to this style of ground combat more than 10 years ago, his goal is to reach the Black Belt rank one day.

Alois evolves and increases his knowledge from year to year. He also practiced Muay Thai as well as Olympic wrestling and then tested his MMA skills.

His favorite weapon, the Kimura, is a submission to which any opponent will have to be worry during a roll.
